The experience

Enjoy the perfect mix of culture and adventure. Get to know Maya culture the local way. Visit the ruins and travel back in time to enjoy the architecture, flora and fauna of the ancient world. Discover Tulum, the legendary walled city by the sea, which enjoys a privileged view of the Caribbean. Continue the tour to the crystal-clear, refreshing waters of our semi-open cenote, where a journey through Maya traditions awaits you, such as the introduction to the honey of the Maya Melipona bee, moving on to a cacao bean demonstration, ending with a visit to a shaman who will give you one of his noble legacies: the Maya ceremony. Allow us to pamper you with the best of regional cuisine to renew your strength. We will travel to mythical Coba, where you will see the tallest pyramid on the peninsula.

Cobá and Tulum Mayan Traditions brings together in one day two of the most visited archaeological sites in the Riviera Maya: Cobá, an ancient Mayan city surrounded by jungle and lagoons, and Tulum, the walled city overlooking the Caribbean Sea. It is a full-day tour, with a certified guide and air-conditioned transportation.

Besides the two archaeological visits, the route includes a cenote swim, a tasting of melipona honey and cacao, a Mayan ceremony and a regional buffet lunch. That mix of history, traditions and nature means the day is not just walking among ruins: you also learn about products and customs that are still alive in the region.

The federal entrance tax for Tulum is included in the price; drinks during lunch, souvenirs and tips are paid on site. Life jackets and lockers at the cenote, a bottle of water at the exit of each archaeological zone and the return by tricycle in Cobá are included. It is a day with quite a bit of walking, so comfortable shoes are a good idea.

Bring light clothes, comfortable shoes, a swimsuit, towel, cap, and biodegradable sunscreen and repellent. Children 0 to 2 are considered infants, and ages 3 to 11 pay the child rate. The tour departs with transportation from Cancun or the Riviera Maya and does not run every day: pick your date in the calendar and we confirm with you on WhatsApp.
