The experience
We will start our tour by visiting Las Coloradas, where you will see different bodies of water used in the salt production process, some of a striking pink color.
Río Lagartos is a small fishing town located in a protected natural reserve; one of the natural jewels of the Yucatán Peninsula. Here, we will enjoy a boat ride through its mangrove-lined channels, where you can see bird species such as: pink flamingo, herons, eagles, pelicans and cormorants. Part of this adventure will be enjoying a Mayan Bath, covering our bodies with nutrient-rich clay. Then we will go to a virgin beach to wash off the mud in its crystal-clear waters: the best finish for this intense adventure.
It includes round-trip air-conditioned transportation, a bilingual guide, an à la carte lunch with one drink and drinks on the transfer and on the boat. The conservation taxes are not included and are paid on site, so bring cash.
It is a long excursion, with a long road trip: bring comfortable clothes, a swimsuit, towel, cap, and biodegradable sunscreen and repellent. Children 0 to 2 are considered infants, and ages 3 to 11 pay the child rate. The tour departs from Cancun or the Riviera Maya and does not run every day: pick your date in the calendar and an agent confirms with you on WhatsApp.
