The experience

Chichén Itzá Mayan Cuisine is the excursion that adds a Mayan gastronomic demonstration and a cenote swim to the visit to the archaeological site. Chichén Itzá is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, and this full-day tour explores it with a bilingual cultural guide and round-trip transportation in air-conditioned units from Cancun or the Riviera Maya.

The package includes entrance taxes to the archaeological zone, the guided visit at Chichén Itzá, a 30-minute stop in Valladolid, the gastronomic demonstration, a buffet lunch, the visit to Nool-Ha cenote and two bottles of water during the tour. It is an excursion that mixes history, local flavor and nature, ideal if you want more than a simple visit to the ruins.

To tell it apart from Mayan Cuisine Plus: this package does not include a drink with lunch, life jackets and lockers at the cenote, the visit to the artisans' village, the box lunch and 5 drinks on board, or the beach bag and biodegradable repellent that the Plus does include. Photos and tips are not included either, and large backpacks are not allowed in the archaeological zone. The return is approximately between 6:30 and 7:30 pm.

Bring light clothes, a swimsuit, a towel and comfortable shoes. Children 0 to 2 are considered infants, and ages 3 to 11 pay the child rate.
